What Makes Snap Kitchen Different

There are 2 aspects of Snap Kitchen that make this service stand out from the crowd. The first is the range of customization options available and the second is the diversity of its menu.

As shown in the previous section of this Snap Kitchen review, you do not only get to choose whether you want to order with or without a subscription but you decide on everything in both scenarios. Not only that, but you can choose from keto, Whole 30, and Paleo meals, vegetarian dishes, high-protein and low-carb dishes, and many more options for meat, seafood, and veggie lovers. Weight Loss

In the previous sections of this Snap Kitchen review, we mentioned that the menu is quite impressive and includes around 40 items at all times. There are more than half a dozen breakfasts, 2 dozen lunches and dinners, and just about half a dozen meal components including chef-prepared proteins, carbs, and veg. Members enjoy 1:1 chats with our Registered Dietician, regular freebies, and special events and chef tastings.

The meals may be inspired by comfort food favorites, but they are made of healthier ingredients that can help you get or stay slim and fit. Thus, you can expect to enjoy your chicken tenders with turnip mash instead of potatoes and have almond butter and jam oatmeal for breakfast instead of a pb&j sandwich.

We have to admit that we were a bit worried that the changes in ingredients would result in unfavorable changes in flavor, but we were happy to be wrong. The meals are surprisingly tasty and they are perfectly fresh, which is a big plus in our book.

As far as the portions go, there are 3 options available, designed with different calorie goals in mind. The small portions range from 200 to 300 calories, the medium portions contain 300 to 400 calories while the large meals range from about 400 to 500 calories. The macro ratio depends on the meal plan you choose, that is, the diet you follow and the meals you pick.

After you’ve selected your plan (12 or 6 meals per week), it’s time to look at the meals. They’re conveniently divided into several categories. However, before we get to that part of our Snap Kitchen review, we must tell you all about their handy filters. There are six different selections you can make:

  1. Calories
  2. Carbs
  3. Protein Amount
  4. Sodium
  5. Exclude Food That Contains:
  • Egg
  • Fish

Heating And Storage Tips

Snap Kitchen meals are prepared and delivered fresh, never frozen. Since they contain no preservatives, they can last for 4 to 6 days in your fridge. The only exceptions to this rule are salad items, which you should enjoy within 2 days. You should avoid freezing your meals unless you have more food than you can eat in 6 days. We recommend keeping prepared meals in your freezer for up to 1 month.

The meals can be enjoyed straight from the container. Some items taste great cold, while others are at their best when hot. The latter come with detailed heating instructions. You can heat your meals in a microwave set on high or an oven preheated to 350℉. Heating times vary depending on the item, but usually, the meals can be microwaved in less than 3 minutes. Keep in mind that when heating in a microwave, the lid should be loosened, while it should be removed when heating in an oven.

Extremely disappointed ~ my first box arrived one day late with no notice that it would be late at all. I waited the entire day for it to arrive trying to track it through the fed ex tracking number which wasn’t updated till 10 pm.

I sent three separate emails informing Snap Kitchen that my box still had not arrived by 10 pm and it was promised by the end of the business day.

I was really surprised and so disappointed that I received no reply then or now almost 24 hours later. After realizing I wasn’t going to get a reply I wrote asking for a full refund and still not even a text, email or call today to explain what happened.

I finally did receive the box and couldn’t believe I waited an extra 24 hours and paid $98.00 for meals that were not appealing, or tasteful. I’ve used and enjoyed various meal delivery services like cook unity, Yumble, nurture, freshly, and others which were all pretty awesome.

I’ve never reviewed any of them because I figured most people who tried them would know they are good. But I feel I have to say something about Snap Kitchen just to give someone else that might consider ordering from them a heads up to stay away.

There is NO customer service, no tracking your delivery and you will be disappointed with the food and I’m not a picky eater or shopper at all. If nothing else I learned where not to order from again. Buyer beware. Hope this helps someone else.

Discovered snap kitchen a month ago, when my doctor told me I had to reduce my carb intake. Gave it a try and I’ve been ordering every week since. Good food, always fresh, and the prices are ok. I can’t say I don’t miss carbs, but the meals are tasty and I could never cook them myself, so I’ll surely keep ordering.

Great service, but not without flaws. Lower prices and bigger portions would make it close to perfect.
