There are about 35 items on the Prepped menu. They change every week, so you get to enjoy plenty of variety. The items are divided into 3 sections, including Meals, Sides, and Snacks.

Prepped Lunch and Dinner

In the Meals section, there are usually 9 lunches and dinners and 4 basics. With standard lunches and dinners, you can expect to enjoy comforting and satisfying classics from around the world, like pulled pork, chicken Cordon Bleu, steaks, stews, stir-fries, meatloaves, and burgers. If you go with the basics, you get to enjoy such luxurious meals like filet mignon with various veggie sides or grilled chicken with sautéed or grilled veg.

In case you want to add something extra to your meals, you should visit the Sides section. In this part of the weekly menu, you can find both protein and veggie side dishes, with occasional rice. Essentially, the items available in this section usually represent the components of the items featured in the Meals section. Thus, they allow you to double or triple your veg and protein servings or create a whole new dish, so you can avoid the meal elements you dislike. Normally, there are nearly 2 dozen sides on offer.

Finally, the Snacks category features just a couple of scrumptious items that can often be appropriately labeled as desserts. They generally include muffins and cakes that are usually Paleo-friendly.

While all the items on the menu are suitable for omnivores and carnivores, there are also plenty of options for individuals who are on the Paleo, low-carb, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. Vegetarians can enjoy the company’s veggie sides as well as its snacks.

The items are all single-serve and the portions can best be described as medium-sized. The average calorie count per serving is between 385 and 520 calories. The meals are high in protein and usually contain over 35 grams of protein per serving. They are definitely not low in fat, since the average fat content is 27-31 grams.

Bottom Line

Prepped is a perfect choice for people who are often too busy to cook but still want to maintain a healthy diet. Its greatest advantages include subscription-free ordering, a rich menu, quality ingredients, plenty of special diet options, the relatively long shelf life of the meals, and quick and easy heating. The best meal delivery for singles I’ve tried so far. I order almost every week and not once have I got anything that I didn’t like. Usually, one meal is enough to keep me full, but I get a couple of sides as well for when I’m really hungry.

We order about once a month, get 20 meals or so at once to save on shipping, stick most of them in the freezer and defrost them when I’m not in the mood to cook. Of course, they are better fresh, but they taste good when defrosted too. I just think that the breakfasts could be cheaper and there should be more of them.
