How Paleo Power Meals Works

Paleo Power Meals allows you to shop any way you wish. You can opt for one-time orders or set recurring orders and receive your favorite meals every week. You can order individual breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and sides or order cooked food in bulk. You can order as many different items as you wish and as many packages of each meal as you need. It is completely up to you.

The menu is rich and focuses on meat, fish, and healthy veggies, with hardly any grains or dairy and no legumes. The meat is free range and grass fed and the seafood and veggies are sustainably grown and harvested. There are no added sugars, processed foods or any sort of additives that would prevent you from becoming your healthiest and fittest self.

When ordering, the only rule is that you should place your order by Thursday at midnight if you want to receive your delivery the following week. Recurring orders come with no minimum subscription period. You can cancel anytime you like, in just 3 clicks, directly through your Paleo Power Meals account. If you opt for recurring orders, you can still place additional one-time orders whenever you need more food.

At all times, there are around half a dozen breakfasts to choose from, all of them high in protein and incredibly satisfying. The items include the likes of bacon and egg muffin, burrito-less scramble, sweet potato hash browns, and applewood smoked bacon.

Lunches feature a lovely balance between fresh, colorful veggies and proteins. Most of them are classic chicken dishes like chicken Milanese over arugula, grilled chicken strips, and chicken Florentine.

Dinner items are the most numerous, with nearly 2 dozen options at your disposal. They are more creative than lunch items, rich in both nutrients and proteins, and feature all kinds of meat and fish. You can enjoy BBQ pulled chicken, chicken and broccoli over cauliflower rice, grass-fed steak tips with grilled vegetables, spaghetti squash Bolognese, pulled pork, herb-crusted salmon, and many other delicious items.

The company also offers a variety of tasty vegetable sides, including sweet potato French fries, spiralized zucchini and summer squash, sautéed Brussels sprouts, and sweet potato pancakes. Non-Paleo sides are less numerous and mostly focus on rice. They include such innovative dishes like basmati rice with mushrooms and spinach or brown rice with dried cranberries and scallions.

Keto meals include about half a dozen dishes that are as delicious as they are low in carbs. You can enjoy such delights like chicken saltimbocca or half-roasted chicken with grilled asparagus.

As far as bulk menu items are concerned, you can choose from a variety of cooked meat and vegetable items. Some of them include buffalo chicken strips, BBQ pulled chicken, raw veg salad “the Bergeron,” and riced broccoli and carrots.

Every week, there is a new weekly special that is crafted particularly for that week, unlike other items that are available whenever you shop. Weekly specials can be added to both one-time and recurring orders.

Nutrition Facts

Paleo Power Meals has crafted its menu to satisfy various dietary needs and preferences, but it is primarily suitable for a low-carb, high-protein diet. The average calorie count for breakfasts is 200 to 450 calories, while lunches and dinners, including weekly specials, keto, and non-Paleo items, generally have 300 to 700 calories.

There are a few carb-loaded meals on the menu. However, most items contain fewer than 20 grams of carbs. They are particularly high in protein, with certain meals containing over 70 grams of protein per serving. If you are on a low-fat diet, you are not likely to find too many items that suit your needs. However, whatever your preferences may be, you can always purchase cooked food in bulk and easily create meals that work for you.

Heating And Storage Tips

Paleo Power Meals never freezes its meals. Instead, every item is prepared and delivered fresh. You should keep your meals in your fridge until you are ready to eat. They should last at least 3 days if refrigerated. If you order more food than you can eat in a couple of days, you can freeze the extra meals. We do not recommend keeping prepared meals in your freezer for much more than a month or two, because they tend to gradually lose both flavor and nutrients.

You can heat your meals in a microwave or an oven. The exact heating time depends on the meal type as well as your microwave or oven. Generally speaking, microwaving usually takes about 2-3 minutes, while the meals should take about 20 to 30 minutes to reheat in an oven preheated to 350ºF. If you are heating frozen meals, you should extend the heating time by a couple of minutes.

Love the flexibility, the meals are good, but they should really consider offering free shipping, at least on larger orders, the fees are astronomical.

  2. | August 21, 2017

Honestly, I expected more for that kind of money. The portions really are large, but the meals are not that impressive.
